PENALTY FEE ON LATE PAYMENT

There is no penalty fee yet, says MAPOLY Mgt The management of Moshood polytechnic (MAPOLY) Abeokuta has said that the institution is yet to add a penalty fee to late payment.  This is in reaction to a rumour making rounds via social media on addition of penalty fee. The statement read, "Late payment of school fee has now attracted penalty fee of 10,000 for returning students." Debunking the rumour, the school PRO, Yemi Ajibola who spoke exclusively to Press Club MAPOLY correspondent said that the management is yet to add any penalty. He said students encounter difficulties on the portal due to its upgrade to 2018/19 session. Ajibola said the rector had ordered that no penalty fee should be added He advised students to pay using the belated link adding that they can direct further enquiries to the students account. MAPOLY students fail to resume despite ASUP strike suspension

Students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic are yet to resume for academic activities despite the suspension of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP) strike. Yemi Ajibola, the school’s public relations officer, said lecturers have fully resumed at work but students “are nowhere near the institution”. “The lecturers are fully on ground waiting for the students. It is now left for the students to resume, finish up their syllabuses and write exams,” Ajibola told TheCable Lifestyle. In a directive released by ASUP last Tuesday, members of the body were directed to suspend the two-month strike and resume academic activities at their respective institutions. Following the strike’s suspension, Samson Odedina, MAPOLY’s new rector, said the union had reached a consensus with the state government, adding that lecturers are set for a new academic session. *RESUMPTION OF ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES IN MAPOLY* Following the suspension of industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), the Management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta has directed that all students should report to Cam pus to process their registration in preparation for resumption of academic activities. By this development, all newly admitted students, for National Diploma at Ogun State Polytechnic, Ipokia & Higher National Diploma at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta are to complete their registration in MAPOLY as from Monday 18th February, 2019. Similarly, all returning students, who are yet to complete the payment of their school fees are advised to do so and complete their registration without further delay to avoid penalty. It should be recalled that, the lecturers have resumed work since Wednesday, 13th February, 2019, which indicated the commencement of academic activities.
